Default '84 Euro S substitute relay ?

Just going through my electrical gounds and checking everything out. I noticed that a lot of the "53" #141.951.253 B relays have been replaced with "24" VW/Audi part 171 937 503.
Is this normal or should I buy some 53's and swap them back in?

the Euros have the 24 relays not to worry ,
but a good idea to buy 4 53 relays just in case and put them in the glovebox

MY84 LH cars have the earlier CE panel with "24" relays and cartidge fuese. MY 85 & 86 Euros have the later CE panels with "53" relay and blade fuses.

Mine too. I replace them all with "53".

We have about 50 "53B" relays in stock for $5 each.

nope,
besides the number and the way the relay is routed internally but they will do the same thing and have the same power rating
