On my '90 S4 (which I believe uses the same controller as your '88):
lock via central locks terminal #7 (I tapped into BR/RD wire)
unlock via central locks terminal #9 (I tapped into BR/GN wire)
See Porsche 928S4 1990 Sheet 3 (but probably cross check to make sure your '88 is same).
