Default In need of an S4 front left brake caliper

I'm looking for an S4 front left brake caliper since someone mismatched the front calipers on my car.

I have a 993 caliper on the front left and an S4 on the front right.

Does anyone have an LF S4 caliper laying around?

Thank you,

Alex

I just ordered 4 calipers from Rock Auto for $192.xx delivered.

New and not rebuilt. Centric brand. I have not received them yet.

How can I identify which calipers I have?

The front right/passenger side I have uses two different size pistons with a raised Porsche script. The pistons measure ~42mm and ~36mm.

The front left/drivers side also has two different sized pistons but has a printed Porsche script. The pistons measure ~40.5mm and ~32.5mm.

They both have the casting numbers 20.4585.00 and 20.4564.00.

Porsche used several different calipers on the 928, especially on the early S4's it seems.
But the piston size should be the same from side to side.

I agree, the postons should be the same on both sides, this is why I am looking for a matching caliper to either of the caligers I have.

I originally thought that I had a 993 caliper on the left, now it appears that I might simply have a 92+ S4 caliper for the left and an early S4 for the right.

If anyone is willing to part with a matching caliper to either of those listed above, I'd be extremely grateful!

From 1990 on, the PORSCHE letters on the original calipers were embedded in the finish (white lettering on black), while previous years had the PORSCHE lettering cast into the caliper (embossed).

A picture of the one you have might help for identification purposes.
