I work for a "large" pharma company and you are correct about counterfit drugs.

Fake drugs have been made out of all kinds of toxic stuff, formed in hi-tech presses, and even painted yellow with road paint. Then placed in knock-off containers that look so good that the only way to tell if it is real or not is 1. to test it in a lab or 2. take it and get sick from it.

Getting fake parts for your 928 makes us mad enough, getting fake drugs that are bad for your health is a whole bigger level of mad. I don't want to have to replace a blown engine, but it is possible. How do you replace a body damaged by poison?

Both done by people out to make an easy $, who don't care who they harm.

By direct experience I do not mind buying chinese "potential crap" for anhing like electronic gadgets and or other "low risk" stuff. As to my porsche 928 S4 I did buy from a US supplier a spare water pump which turned out bein made in CHN and got it cheap but seized already!!!

How about SKF or ***, are they still non-CHN? LOL. When I start churning out hubs and pre-installing bearings I want to install only the BEST. It's scary now that you really don't know what your getting, who it came from, or where it's been. Pharmaceuticals included. No CHN is going to copy Const.'s bearings because they only mass produce generalized products...AKA WP, FP, rotors, and scented pine trees LOL. The whole point of this story should be that you should do your due diligence to get the best quality part available. However, the sad fact of the story is most of your quality manufacturing jobs wound up on the other side of the globe due to greed and loss of national pride. Buy American where you can, and bite the bullet on non-critical, non-local where you have no other alternative.
