My air con doesn't work and since this is a weekend toy and it's not that hot here in the summer plus i prefer to drive with window down so the question is....
Has anyone removed the whole system?
What are the things that need to be removed?
Should i keep all the ac stuff or they are garbage once they are removed?
The reason i ask is because the car will be in the shop for radiator change, trans service and oil pan gasket change so maybe a good time to remove them?
Thanks
Barry
Keep it all intact. Unless you are shedding weight for racing, leave it there for the next owner as AC can easily be converted/fixed. I repaired mine knowing nothing about AC with the info on Rennlist.
You can remove all the AC stuff while the radiator is in place. If you have the know how, do it yourself and save a little money. All the underdash parts a more work then they are worth but everything under the hood is fairly easy to get to. Pull the compressor and put a supercharger in it's place!
Mine didn't work and I pulled it all off, I thought I like the windows open but that was before I did 100MPH on a regular basis. wind noise sucks !
I don't drive my car to much in the middle of the summer during the day so the heat thing dosen't bother me .

Defgging windows is a LOT nicer with A/C working too.

Thanks all, i think i will leave it alone for now and look into convert/fix later.
