Tie rod mount arm contacts hub at full deflection?

I was replacing my old aluminum lower ball joints and when I turned the hub full deflection to gain access I noticed that the arm that the outer tie rod attaches to contacts the ball joint support part of the hub assembly (center of photo).
I looked at the WSM but could not find any discussion on steering stop adjustment. I had replaced my steering rack boots back in May but that was early in my 928 ownership and experience so all i remember is they are there.
Is this contact normal? I don't see any signs of damage or mushrooming at the contact point so does not appear to be causing an issue as is.
Thanks

Jim,
Do you have the steering rack stops on the rack? They mount between the inner TR's and the rack. Are they still in good shape? The older style is a chunk of rubber sandwiched between two washer like metal ends. There was almost no rubber left in mine, I actually thought they were two loose washers. Roger has them pretty cheap.

I replaced my steering rack boots very early on and remeber that the stops were there and at that point seemed intact to me but that was almost one of the first things I did so I was a real newbie. Do I need to pull the boots back and inspect? Seems the boots actually attached to the stops. Am I wrong?

The boots attaches to a grove on the rack, and onto on a rubber ring on the inner tie-rod bar. The stop is inside the boot, between the tie-rod and the rack. Here is a pic borrowed from 928intl.
