Trade High Power 951 for 928S4
First off merry Christmas guys! I hope you all are having a great day.
I have been looking for a 5 speed 928 S4, but I can only seem to find a S4 automatic. If you have a nice 5 speed 928 S4 and would like to own a very powerful 944 Turbo send me a PM. My ultimate goal is to install the single turbo setup I have.
The car has the following modifications
61-1 Turbocharger
LR Mass Air Flow
Power Perfect Piggyback
LR 951 MAX Chips
55# Injectors
3.0 BAR Fuel Pressure Regulator
LR Dual Port Wastegate
Full 3" Exhaust
Manual Boost Control
SFR Intercooler Hard Pipes
etc.

keep the 951. I have one with 360+rwhp. I also have a 928. Two completely differnt cars. The 928 is a great GT car. We do shows and treks with ours. The 951 is a beast and is a great track car. So, have both is what I say

I drove a stock 48K mile 951 earlier in the week. Original owner (about 75 now)
Nasty quick.
Love it.
It is a four cylinder, though.
Run big boost and drive one hard, wear is inevitable.
Trading for a hyped, tuned, heavily used one makes no sense, 944, 51 or 28

I have modified so many of these 951's and I have never had any big issues, they have been very reliable.

The exhaust work for a single turbo setup is going to be tough to do. The most popular setup seems to be twins. There are some good exmples out there. Maybe try the pelican parts 928 forum for some more info

To Michaels point, if you haven't seen this thread its worth a read. Especially the last few pages. Unbelievable craftsmanship.
Post 90 is a good place to begin for the truncated story:

S4's are very plentifiul, but the large majority were sold as autos. So I believe that in the US market , GT's are more available than manual S4's
