Keep in mind that they might actually be celebrating the true meaning of Xmas. Historically, that would be Sex, Glutony, Drunkeness, and nowadays the extravagant exchange of gifts with family and friends.

The nearly worldwide event was only stolen by the christians because they could not defeat it, so they moved Jesus' birthday and renamed the event. The name has stuck, sort of, but the TRUE MEANING still seems to survive. I even heard someone on TV say the other night that the exchange of gifts was the true meaing of Xmas.

Years ago when I was in Japan, I came across on old gentlemen on the train who had a bible in his pocket and wanted to try out his English with me so he struck up a conversation with me. One of the things he said was that in Japan everybody celebrates Xmas, but only about 2 percent of them are christian.

I guess Santa carries a lot more weight than some might think.

Merry Xmas. Jerry
