Personally I will chose Atlas Gray with a dash of White Pearl into it, but lets not give him too much ideas or he will be forever in the what color stage.

Thanks Stan,

I'll have the paint shop spray a few different pearls and see what looks the best.

Feels I've been in the waiting for paint stage forever...a few more months won't hurt

Cheers!

Carl, FYI-Black is not a color. Black is the absence of color. Please have your painter spray some color samples T

You're getting there Carl, really an awesome job you've done. We'll have to coordinate you bringing it to a PCA function once you've got it completed so you can wow the 911'ers!

I chose it just because I know how much you like black Tony
Thanks for checking on the filler, I appreciate it, as always. Now go and put your awesome looking Nordic Gold car back together

A freshly washed black car is the best color ... they just never stay that way. And get a little warm in hot climates

Sent a buddy of mine a link to your thread with the pictures of the car heading off to paint. He built a car "rotisserie" that is *exactly* like yours and is working on doing the same stuff to his. I helped him put the body on the contraption - "spinning" a car around is really great fun.

One of my cars is black - wasn't my first choice in color - and they do look great when freshly washed. That lasts about two days, max. The A/C in that car is pretty good but nothing compared to what I have in my (white) GM pickup. I could store meat in that thing.

The A/C in the Porsche isn't exactly stellar...

Both of my previous 928s (one of which was black) nearly froze my nose off in the Florida summer heat, so I think a properly maintained AC system on a 928 is as good, if not better than some other cars. Naturally, a black car gets warmer sitting outside, but mine is garaged so it will rarely be heat soaked. Windows will get the 3M UV/Heat film and it will have a significant amount of insulation added inside. Pictures to follow once it gets back from paint.

I appreciate all the comments and suggestions, keep 'em coming

Cheers!

Default Some more progress

Received a quick update from the paint shop. They started working on the car yesterday, and have a rough weld-on of the left GTS fender. Getting wider hips
Now I need to locate some spacers to properly fit these wheels.

Cheers!

Stopped by the paint shop to drop off some parts and took some pictures. Right side fender is now on and they should hopefully start with the roof panel before the weekend. Unfortunately I did not have time to finish stripping the driver's side door all the way which is why it is still red...both doors currently on to verify door/fender gap.

Cheers!

Default We have a roof!

Some updates from the paint shop. The quarter panels are on and the non-sunroof panel is in place. The rear wiper holes have been filled in, and the front fenders are being welded for the side marker delete.

Cheers!

I hope that you will seam seal then waxoil all of the underbody openings where the rear fenders were cut, this to reduce the temptation of corrosion .
Looks really cool; on the rotissory
