Default Break Pressure Light

Since I bought my '80 the "Brake pad" light would go on, after driving
a bit and a re start it would go off. I have inspected all the pads and they have about 60% left. Now after washing cleaning the engine bay the "Brake Pressure" light is on and
the info center is blinking. The brakes seem to work the same (no leaks) inside
the master cylinder fluid level is up to the line.
I just had my clutch bled and replaced the flex hose, could any of these events be related? I am thinking of just replacing the two Brake Pressure sensors and see how it goes.
Could I have a looming problem? Or should I get the black tape out and cover up the blinking lights. I know this works.

It is not unusual for the brake light switches to malfunction. Check the connectors and make sure that there are no twisted wires, broken connections, corrosion, etc. If all looks good, probably time to replace both switches.

Try pulling the battery earth for a minute, and reconnecting. If it was a temporary glitch, this shoudl reset it. If not, replace both switches ...VW/Audi part no, do not over tighten. 24mm IIRC. You need small dextrous hands to get the connectors back on. If you are quick, you wont lose much fluid (line the cap with cling film to prevent air entering through the vent) - I managed it without needing to bleed at all, just some pedal pumping to get the bubbles out through the reservoir.
