Thanks everyone for the kind words!

Yes, I should drive the 928 more!! Low miles is sometimes...Not a good thing, as I have learned the hard way. I bought it in 2006 with 24,000 original miles, thinking I was buying a low maintenance car. I was wrong!!!

All the Maintenance is caught up now. After a lot of $$$. Time to enjoy!

ISPEED is a great friend!!. Carl helped me a lot...from finding this Beauty, to installing new brakes, oil pan gasket, motor mounts, shocks/springs, x-pipe, short shifter, etc., etc.
I blame him for getting me into this. THE GOOD and the bad!!

Dave C. does all of the scheduled maintenance and repairs under the hood. I wouldn't trust anyone else with it!
We are very fortunate to have Dave so close to us! He's the best! Thanks Dave!!

Those are the size front wheels and tires that SHOULD have been stock on a 928. One of the pics make it look like the tire stuck out beyond the edge of the fender slightly... My Fikse FM10's were like that, but I never had any problems either. I was always concerned if I hit a huge dip or pot hole that the wheel/tire would compress fully and impact the fender. Like I said that never happened, but it was always in the back of my mind.

Chris F. has them on his S4 now and he had them all fixed up (they needed refinishing) and they look AMAZING on his silver car. he has not had any problems either.

Chris,
Beautiful car. Where are you located? Maybe I missed it, but it looks like you haven't shared your location. I'm assuming that you are local based on your reference to Carl and Dave.

Looks great! I have a set of Club Sports for your GT if you're interested in originality.

Beautiful car! My '89 is or course not as fast as a red one, but I'm still pretty fond of it. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Very nice but why would a 25K km car need a new clutch?

Chris,
Your car is beautiful. I think Guards Red looks great on 928's. I thought I was not a red car fan but I must say I have changed my mind after seeing it on 928's. Enjoy putting some miles on that baby.

nice as heck.
Saw a GT in these parts-(red) over 10 years ago.- I'd like to steal it. Do you park it outside?-well, you should. Fresh air is good for your car.

It didn't need a clutch, but if I remember it was a worn TO bearing that got it started. We do a little too much maintenance up here...

I tried to talk him into the CS wheels a few years ago, but he wasn't interested. If it were mine I would have done the CS, it is such a clean vintage look.

If I had my old S4 front calipers still around I would be tempted to retrofit the CS wheels and sell my CCW 18's, but with my GTS front brakes the 16" wheels won't fit.

Default Yes.

Yes Red GT's look great.
Whenever I see this one speeding around town I am jealous.

Yes, I realize we aren't the youngun ricer forum...it's all in the name of science and edification- such opportunities seldom come along after all...Two outstanding cars regardless.

Chris's GT is definitely a nice one.

Let me know when you want to add some more shine to the paint.
