Default North Carolina ppi

I really like this car despite the boy racer touches. However with all the mods I would really need a ppi. Anyone here know this car or a place familiar with 928s near Wilmington, NC?

I have no idea how far that is from Banner Elk, but one of the 928 greats is in Banner Elk, Dave Roberts of 928 Specialists.
Few know the 928 better than he does.

If I remember right DR is all the way across the state from this car. There are guys in the Wilmington area for sure. I am over two hours away.

Rixter is in Zebulon, still 120 miles away. Unless he needs to go there anyway, probably not going to happen. My .02 is the car is well kept, and that is a big plus; but I agree some of the mods are questionable; the K&N is a menace to the MAF. I've never seen dark brown interior with red, so look for repaint. "performance tires", meh. Porsche specifies performance (Z) tires. Doesn't mention Tbelt specifically, you'd think that might be of interest. A/C?? I hope somebody can look at it for you, but considering how it looks, I would invest in airfare and go drive it. You can tell a lot from a phone conversation. Since the car is well cared for, I bet this seller is forthcoming, if not save your money.

In a thread yesterday relating to PPI and negotiating down, I commented that it can be niggling, but might reveal something seller didn't know; the seller can say "it's already priced in" Of course you want to get the best price you can and so does the seller. Lay the groundwork with "Does everything work?" THEN if something comes up you can negotiate down.

Yes, this car is a long way from DR - 300+ mi. I have not yet been able to get a call back, but I agree with Steve. A test drive won't happen before 2011 with my schedule... So certainly I'm not impulsive enough to buy unseen unless some RL God-man smiles down upon this car and tells me it's good! Thx for the input.

There's got to be a more-original 5 speed S3 at equivalent or less money somewhere in the midwest in this economy.

I've seen a few but either auto or some color combo that's on my "no-fly" list. I'd love to find some sorted car from a RL'er but funny, people here really seem to enjoy keeping their cars...
