I pulled the evaporator out from the dash side. I removed the center console, the pod, the dash, the heater core, and then had access to it get it out. You'll have to remove the hose connections on the engine side though.

Hey Trey, were you able to get the heater core out before reaching the evap? I am getting in there soon and need to replace my heater but assumed I'd have to take out the entire HVAC box. If there's a way to open it up in place to get the heater without disturbing the evap and A/C lines, that would be great.
