I hear ya on the roads..but after this week, and the storm coming saturday, all the good ones will be full of tree debris, and full of grandparents coming/going from other places.

I drive Highway9, and Skyline daily..holiday time is a disaster. Expect to be in a string of 10-15 cars, doing about 25. The only worse time, is after Tgiving on weekend, where its the same speeds, but you have to watch out for Xmas trees in the road that fell off.

Sunday works well with some of the hard dates that MK and Nicole have so far.

Im gonna hold off my tear-down until after this.

We should try to do this once a month or two anyhow...

Hopefully this'll be the start of a Norcal Wolf Pack.

Is the South Bay (San Jose/etc area) workable? Next GTG, another geo.

Now..I have two ideas:

1) http://teskes-germania.com/

Great German food, and bar. Parking not entirely suited to gathering around.

2) http://www.stjohnsgrill.com/

Good food, plenty of room to sit about and be noisy..and a parking lot to gather at.

Or...

We can meet up in the valley as a group, at say..my office in Sunnyvale at say..3pm while there's still light, then take a 50min run up into the Santa Cruz Mtns up Hwy9, down Hwy9..and to here for dinner:

http://www.tyroleaninn.com/

The route..if we meet up in Sunnyvale (we can meet up elsewhere if this options sounds fun):

The Tyrolean Inn sounds like fun, but probably not for winter time. This would be a nice destination for a summer drive, then sitting outside in their beer garden.

There is another German restaurant in Sunnyvale - Hardy's Bavaria.

But if you want the best German food in the Bay Area, you'll have to go to Suppenküche in San Francisco, at the corner of Laguna and Hayes.

Anyway... none of those is great for parking. Teske's has a larger room with space for groups, and they serve multi-course dinners. You won't go hungry... and in that side room it's not too loud to chat.

I've never been to St. John's Grill.

St Johns is the mecca for burgers and 'merican grub in the high tech area round those parts.

Line out the door every weekday for lunch for hours.

Tri Tip Tuesdays are the bomb.

I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack. But when I found rennlist, I knew they were one of my own. And my wolf pack... it grew. So there... there were, where there was just me, and then now there were two of us in the wolf pack... I was alone first in the pack, and then rennlist joined in later. And six months ago, when I was introduced to you guys, I thought, "Wait a second, could it be?" And now I know for sure, I just added a few more guys to my wolf pack. Four of us wolves, running around the desert together...

I'll have to meet up next time. If I'm not still in I5 traffic the last thing I will want to do is get back into the car. Plus the shark is still down.... getting closer, next week is the rear suspesion/brake swap. Might also rebuild the halfshafts while I have it apart the boots are starting to look pretty tired.

Yup! I can't seem to stay away. All my friends know me here and a man has to go where he feels wanted.....er.....ah....I mean recognized. Besides, its cold on the street this time of year, despite being in California. When it warms up a little, I'll swipe some sheets and climb out the window.

But the truth is that I ran out of donuts, which is a bad thing if you drive a P car around here. So here I sit all broken hearted. Aw, I'm used to it. Ask anyone.
Besides, my big screen is busted so I can watch the one in here in the rec room. What a deal. Food sucks though. I tried to explain that 928s just don't handle well under 125, but some people just don't understand......go figure.
