Default Pod Guy is back

Due to health and time constrains I had to discontinue selling pods some time ago.

I now have someone helping me with the restoration projects. He is willing to do a few pods for me. If there is any interest let me know and I will get him started on a batch. They will still come with a one year warranty.

I am looking for cores for the late model cars - 90 and newer. I have no cores for these years.

Dan
Great to see you "up and about"
After my S4 brake up-grade and LSD install I may add a "new" pod to my winter list.
You saw the crack in mine after I did my own restoration last time I was over at your place so I think I will leave it up to the expert next time around.

Dan,
This is great news!
Would you be interested in doing the pod and dash in the early car?
The pod is black and the dash is brown.

Yes I can do the early pods no problem. I have done two dashes but they are a lot of work and I have to have just the right core. Many of the dashes curl so much they are worthless. If they have been covered with leather then they will be modified for the vents and are not repairable. I know there are a couple of people covering them with leather and locally I have seen the dashes covered with vinyl as well. To me this seems like the best solution.

If there are just straight cracks on a vinyl dash and the surface is not sun burnt then I can repair a dash. However, since I have not really tested them I cannot offer a guarantee. The one I put in a car started to get some minor cracks around the vents after a year or so.

The other complication is the amount of labor to remove a dash. The pod pops right off so if something goes wrong I can just send a new one out and someone can change it in 20 minutes or so. The dash means disassembling half the car.

Here is a link to the pod page

Since I have to pay someone to do the repair work I have had to raise my prices. Also the cost of the materials has increased significantly. Blame the EPA.

Dan:

Great to see another SF Bay area shark owner..im new here.

But..I have an 88 with 112k, and the pod, at this time, is in great shape. Minor cracking starting on the dash itself.

Whats the best treatment to help slow down/prevent/etc additional damage as best that I can?
