Default Pics of Perfex Splitter installed - UPDATED with New Supports Added

Was at the Frenzy this year and Ed (OBehave of bullet proof water pump fame) donated a splitter he has made for pre-S4 cars. The lucky winner had a S4, which he graciously offered for sale at a good price... Dave Roberts talked me into it, not that I needed much prodding. I jumped on it. Had it powder coated a matte black, looks almost exactly like the front spoiler. Finally had time to get the camera out and post some pictures. It looks awesome and mean on the car, watch you ankles!

Ed delivers them in bare aluminum so you can powder coat in color of your choice, real simple install.

It bolts to the stock holes for the bottom tray, 5 screws, plus he has 5 brackets he made up, 3 along the front and one at each corner that bolt up to factory points for the lower grille, etc. It took about 1 hour to install if that. I didn't get any instructions, didn't need them. Once you see all the hardware included it pretty much explains itself.

Thanks Ken. Finally got to hook up the WB02 and Innovate too. Did some data logging runs, have to take a look at them, car seems to respond much better after I connected the LH octane loop, guess it want more fuel?

That's pretty serious looking. How driveable is it with the splitter on? I can barely make it out of my driveway now and avoid speed bumps at all costs.

Glen, I absolutely LOVE your car. I was gonna ask the board if there was an S2/3 in guards red with black MY02 wheels or the ones you have. That's the route I plan on taking also. That splitter looks awesome too, but I seriously doubt I could get out my driveway with that surviving.

jp, Jon - car is about 100mph faster, seriously! On the street, can't tell too much. Looking forward to getting it on the track, I've been saying that the past 2 years. Last time I had a push, maybe this will give me just a little more downforce on the front.

I have the Eibach springs and car is lowered about 1 inch. I've only bottomed it once, slightly, didn't even scratch the powder coating, getting out of a gas station with pretty serious incline. You definitely watch for that, but other than that, it hasn't been a problem. I thought I would have bottomed it out a lot more.

How much force can you put in the spoiler before it starts to deflect?

Glen,

Car looks GREAT! Love the lower stance, black wheels, aero mirrors, splitter! NICE JOB!

Tell me about the tranny rebuild. Was it done up in PA near you? I wonder if Mark A has a 4spd auto that would work in my '88 (prefer that it actually BE an '88 but with a new valve body so it ALWAYS starts in first) and I wonder how much it would cost????

I have one, but we don't know its status and I'd hate to put it in just to find it is not working (came out of a non-working car which is why we don't know the status.)

Not doubting the making of it, but it looks like it could fold under at 120+MPH
