Default Cowl Cover

Can the cowl cover (body-colored panel below the wipers) be removed without taking up the windshield molding at one or both ends? With the two bolts out, it will flex a fair amount but the ends look to be pretty well captured below the rain channel and/or moldings.

I believe so... I think I saw that removed from my '92 when it got a new windshield and it came out w/o other stuff getting removed, but I can't be sure of that...

ok, just found Greg Nettles' post on this ...

"Remove the wiper arms, two aft fender bolts and two small phillips screws to the out side of the cowl trim.

Be careful with the two outside screws, they are going through Timmerman nuts and it is easy to bend them.

There is also a rubber part that just pulls off of the trim piece, but about half the S4's I see do not have that.

Good luck."

Looks like I just need to figure out where the "small phillips screws to the out side of the cowl trim" are exactly.

They are covered by the lower edge of the left and right windshield trim.
