Very cool. More to learn here, at least for me.

Engine ID is near front of engine, on a little plate type casting, in valley area closer to passenger side.

you have to look under the top rad hose about 1 inch forward of the hose clamp (where it connects to the water bridge) and under the hose

nope . Thats a cast number for the head.
your looking for a flat part of the block its under the top hose and down about 6 inches / the flat part is about 2 inches wide and about 1 inch wide

It will have a M28/ ?? then under that it should have 84????

Along the front edge of the valley, closest to you as you stand in front of the car, slightly to the passenger side of center.

Ok i give up for the night I'll get it in the morn when i can see. I saw the pic of where it is and thats exactly where i'm looking but the hose + a ton of wires seem to be in the way and my finger went numb from holding my crappy led light.

^^^^ Mission Critical. Could actually be the underlying cause of why the relay stopped engaging.

Please, as a new owner, also read now about fuel lines. Do not take this risk.

Mrmerlin thanks one day in the very near future I'm gonna use your post and go through all the grounds. Upon further inspection there was a tiny bit of moisture on the floor by ce panel.

Landseer again that ce diagram was golden. Plus your knowledge of testing saved me a ton of headache. Also gonna read up on the fuel lines. I'm gonna want to change my fuel filter soon as well, is it in the tank? Also gonna try and get that engine code even though it seems like i'm gonna have to remove the rad hose to get too it. I'm pretty sure it's a 4.7 euro though.
