The car looks good, but that engine bay needs some attention. The cross member is bent I see, and there appears to be corrosion of some sort around the water bridgh area/lower read hose pipe; also, a cap for the air filter housing in front (at least yours has the little filter in it). Then there are those fuel lines, and etc etc etc....good luck with it, keep posting pics of your progress.

Why so much corrosion under the hood? Thermo housing, throttle linkage, fuel line connections. Does this car get driven in the winter or salty air? Like lidrepat said and I'll reinforce FUEL LINES, unless you want a BBQ 928. Call Roger at 928srus and get his fuel line kit. It's an easy fix and takes loads off your mind.

Also, get a fire extinguisher. HALON, not some cheap 1# Wal Mart unit. 2.5# Halon. Won't destroy your car when putting out a tiny fire. Gonna cost a bit $200 or so. Mount it to your passenger seat with any one of the available kits out there. Do a search in the 928 forum on fire extinguishers.

When you replace your fuel lines, check check check that you don't have any leaks or you'll have a BBQ.

Get the fuel pressure gauge and put that on when you do your fuel lines. Super easy and cheap. Nice to help diagnose any fuel problems cause you'll know if you have pressure or don't have pressure.

Very nice. Ton of fun bringing these animals back to life, huh?
The beach weather does make a difference, our air is chock full of moisture, and it gets _everywhere_. lol
I've had all sorts of unexpected corrosion developing in odd places. I just stay ahead of it.
Good job with the beast, and remember... the best maintenance is to drive the **** out of it.

Looking good. BTW, roger can supply a PS seal kit if you find that's the problem. Four seals if I recall.

Those seats would benefit from a re-dyeing. Just did mine with Colorplus products. They look great!
