Default Old/Used Water Pumps

Is there anyone who buys old water pumps for rebuilding?
I have two old ones, one came off my '84, the other off a '78/'79 project motor.
Both would be good candidates for remanufacturing. I also have a newly rebuilt pump which was included in the purchase price of my car, but I never installed it because it was not a top-quality rebuit unit (pulley/impeller depths were not correct, I installed a new Laso pump instead). Any market for these, or are they scrap?

First photo is of the newly rebuilt unit, second is the old pump off my car. I don't have photos of the third.

With no one buying rebuilt water pumps due to failures there is very little market if any for old used pumps.
May be worth donating them to Ed at Perfex Manufacturing as cores for his superior "Engine Gaurdian" rebuilds.

Yes, that is the kind of thing I had in mind, I just don't want to throw them away if someone could use them.

More to the point the sellers have stopped selling them.
928sRus will not sell rebuilds unless the customer insists based on cost grounds and fully accepts the consequences .

IIRC 928 International does not sell rebuilds and neither does Pelican.

The purchase of a rebuild requires a core. Most have a core to return. So again no market for cores.

It would be nice to have some cores to rebuild so I could have them ready to go for the people who can't wait to ship theirs to me,rebuild it and ship it back.If you want to donate them for the cause,I would pay for the shipping. Ed

Rebuilds are available through RockAuto if you insist on a rebuild. Runs you $90 (ship in old one, get back rebuilt).

Opelotus... "I also have a newly rebuilt pump which was included in the purchase price of my car, but I never installed it because it was not a top-quality rebuit unit (pulley/impeller depths were not correct, ..."

Can you tell me the "correct" depths of the pulley/impeller (measured in reference to what surface?)?

Thanks...

You can squeeze two WP's into a medium flat rate box.
