I have a piece of "plastic" that is impregnated with Moly (Molybdenum DiSulfide--MOS2). I called my supplier and he reminded me that it is Nylon sometimes called MD Nylon or aka Nylatron. I wonder if it might be tough enough for these bushings? I would be nice because it is self lubricated.

I've either been looking with my nose, or the people of Superflex have read this thread!
The 928 bushes (it's their own name) for the front upper A-arms are allready on their website:

You need to find out which model years they'll fit. Their page says pre-89, which is rubbish.. the later style arms were identical from 1986 onwards (except in the USA who got some early style arms on cars in 86), and the earlier arms were all the same from 1978-1985.

You'll be better off just paying $US75 for a set from 928intl - even with shipping it'll likely be cheaper than 86GBP, plus you'll get bushings you know will fit.

That sounds like a bargain! Where did you find the A arm bushing kit from 928intl at that price? I only find them at $249. When you're right, I'll order them right away..

But the kit also includes tools to remove and insert the bushings, bushes, rubbers, or whatever is the appropriate term.
