Default FS: 1987 Black on Black S4

Don't hate me, but I'm selling my new S4.

Most of you know this car.

It's on eBay right now, here's the listing:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Gorge...item27b68473e6

I bought it off of Andrew Olson 2 months ago. Andrew did a TON of work on this car. It needs nothing but a oil pan gasket and motor mounts and rear tires eventually.

I just think I need something newer. I lost confidence in the car and I don't have another car to comute to work in.

My wife and daughter have their cars and I don't have a 4th to spare.

I just need something that I don't have to worry about.

Andrew sold it to me for 11K. It has a Buy It Now for 11,999. Any Rennlister can have it for what I paid for it and I just replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump and it runs great!

I'm going to get another Porsche because it's in my blood, but maybe a Boxster or a 2000+ 911.

I hate to get rid of this car because it's an iconic classic and this particular car has had all the major work done to it (thanks to Andrew).

But after two weeks of waiting for parts and taking cabs to the train station or waking my daughter at 5:45am to take me to the train, I need something that I don't have to fear of breaking down.

This site is actually a scary site. All I read is that these cars need constant attention. I get that they are old and I got it because I love the car and always wanted one, but I have so many other things to worry about in my life, my car can't be one of them.

So if you're looking for a great car, here it is.

I'm open to offers.

GLWS! Sorry to see you go but I completely understand.

If I could unload my S4 I'd consider this one.

Sorry to hear! This car has had a few owners in the last few years. I almost bought this car back in 07 but Andrew beat me to it. Cosmetically I remember this car being pretty clean! This would make a nice DD for someone once the mechanicals get worked out.

It's a great car right now, with the fuel pump replaced it should have many trouble free miles.

I'm open to all offers.

Watch the boxster IMS bearing situation. Takes the engine out. Just do some research.

How can you feel comfortable leaving a Porsche at a commuter train station in NJ? Do they have security?

Agreed re: Boxster.

Now as far as NJ--some of those stations have new Mercs, Rolls, Bentley's depending on the station...
