Jim,
Thanks for the nice words about the little red car. The car color is Indischrot and the wheels are silver not white. The light playing tricks with the camera sometimes makes the appearance change. I painted the calipers Red when I upgraded to the brakes to 4 piston Brembos at all four corners. The car did not have the bumperettes added when it was federalized nor did it get front marker lights. It did get some rather bland rear marker lights added at the rear.

Paul,
Those wheels sure looked white to me, but even in silver I don't recognize them...what are they.
Glad they didn't bugger up the car w/ the front markers (my EURO has them...damn it) or rear bumperettes!
Looking good!

Paul,
Those are good shots of the car...thanks for sharing. Have you tried a non-staggered tire size? I would think 255 front and rear would be just about PERFECT on a 928!!! I know all of my cars with same size front and rear tires handle so much better and feel so much more responsive and balanced...

James,
I have had a single size tire on the car in the past, and it handled well. However the current setup is significantly better, the car is very neutral and will go into slight oversteer with throttle application. The suspension has beem worked on with a different front bar, heim joint links, shocks and springs. The rear has Ott steroid links, with the mounting points moved (928 Motorsports plates). The car is set up completly flat and cornerbalanced. The car has great turn in and stays very flat in hard corners. Braking is much enhanced with the wider than stock front tires. I think 928 is undertired on the front, the the stock 225 section with front tire is far to narrow for the 928. If anything I will go to a wider tire when I replace the fronts due to wear. The only probblem with the 295/35 rears is that there is so much traction that I can get some wheel hop during hard acceleration out of tight corners, BTW the 295/35 tir3 is 25" in diameter as close as you can get to the 24.7" dia of the stock 225/50 16 tire it came with. At this point the care is far more capable in the corners than I am willing to utilize, I'm out of my comfort zone long before the car is even near it's limits.
With the very free flowing exhaust (it utilizes a MagnaFlo TrueX muffler) the exhaust is significantly lighter than the stock system. It sounds great and revs like a motorcycle, it will hit the rev limiter at about 6300 rpm.

OK, here's a shot of Ruth just below treeline on Rampart Range Road, up out of the Garden of the Gods. (Ruth is very patient. This August, we celebrated our 31st anniversary.)
Yes, we do have some stone chips. On the other hand, we got to stop and rescue an overheating Jeep Cherokee on the way back down.
