Which weatherstrip adhesive?
I thought I would start putting some of the rubbers back on my son's 1980 tomorrow. What SPECIFICALLY should I look for? This is for the door seals, hatch seal, seals around windows??? I don't want to buy the wrong stuff.
Thanks, Dean

I've had good luck with 3M Plastic and emblem seal. I used it to attach the rub strips on a 944 respray a couple of years ago. At first I didn't think it was working bc its not like a contact cement but it held fine and I got a little adjustment time before it went off. Btw, this sealant was noted in one of my auto-trimming books as THE adhesive to use for attaching/securing vinyl. I haven't tried that though. Bruce
PS ... its clear too.

for the door use the 3M trim seal adhesive it comes in a tube about 8 oz its yellow, follow the directions so you only have to do this once, clean parts make it work best.
For the hatch seal I suggest to use a tube of Hondabond,
First remove the seal then scrub it with simple green and then rinse with water place the seal in the sun to dry and reform about 3 hours. Then get one of the tubes that you use with silicone sealant to make a short bead and put the tube on the Hondabond then working quickly , inject a bead into the hatch seal groove.
then fit the hatch seal
you want to get the seal on before the hondabond sets up , the most important part of this job is along the top edge ,
the hatch sunvisors and trim behind them must removed to allow fully pushing the seal onto the body rib along the top edge
