Okay, I did not know that. What I saw was from the 928 books and on the assembly line it looks like a roller. Just curious

No Jeff, it is a unibody, which means that it does not have a separate frame.
The body and support structure (frame) are one piece.

These guys cut (butchered) the body off of the floor and turned it end for end.

They're not doing a study in physics as a show.

A number of copycat shows have TRIED to brain up the formula, and failed miiiiserably.

I heard that the car did have less drag with the body on backwards, but it was very unstable. When they were filming recently for the upcoming show, at high speed the car flew up in the air, leaving a long contrail behind it.

Alright, WTF is going on here???

I know that they tape over the Ford and Chevy logos on the cars and trucks they drive around, as if we won't know who made the vehicles, along with nearly every other branded product on the show (EXCEPT for Mentos) but why in the hell are they taping over the PORSCHE script on the 928??? The whole myth is about the car being a Porsche 928.

Liability for WHAT? And sure they're not being paid, but they're still going to call it a Porsche, right? Or are they going to go the whole episode referring to it as "a particular car that happens to look like a shark"?

I fail to see what its supposed to mean regardless of whether backwards aerodynamics are good or bad.

I understand that it is a unibody design. Probably not expressing myself correctly. What I was thinking is take the body off and you have the trans connected by the torque tube to the engine. You put little roller stands under this and roll it away. Like a trans jack or something. This way everything is there, out in the open and you can get to everything easily. I guess you could leave the wheels and suspension bits on the car. What I am getting at is having the whole drivetrain out and moved away in a unit. Then just work on what you need to at your leisure, put it all back together and put it back in the car as a unit, like they did at the factory.

Just curious.
