Default Version + options of my 928?

Dear all,

I am very curios to know what exact version my 928 is.

I am pretty sure it is a USA 86.5 model, but would be nice to know all option codes, etc.

VIN is wp0zzz92zgs861800

cheers
Michel

zzz in the vin indicates it is a RoW or Rest of World car. US cars never have the zzz.

BTW....the Euro 86 models usually had the "86.5" upgrades anyway. Only the US got the older brakes etc..until the factory ran out.

I saw an early euro 86 that was imported to Canada...vin was around 400 or so...and it had all the S4 brakes/exhaust stuff that came on the later US 86's. This particular 86 also had the aussie 86 engine (28/45...32 valve lower compression engine).

Thanks for the feedback.

My car is for sure a USA model, has all the US-specific stuff such as mile-o-meter (no km) side markers, etc.

Cool to know I have the LSD :-)

Was the factory alarm a Porsche OEM item? My car came with a Clifford Bullet 2 alarm which was fried. So I am fitting a new Clifford alarm next week.

All US cars have ZZZ VIN stamped to body on front fender. In this case WP0ZZZ92ZGS861800. On all other VIN's it has WP0JB0924GS861800. If it were '86 ROW model VIN would be WP0ZZZ92ZGS841800. Two cars, three VIN's, two style of VIN's for US model as always. 13th digit in VIN is the one which actually tells when 928 is US and ROW model. Not ZZZ at 4-6 and 9th digits.
