How , make 89 euro cluster in english
I have an 89-euro that only displays in German.
I have read and searched how this display cannot be change to English.
BUT There must be a way and I would like some options if anyone has any.
I would hate to have to spend 2g's just to change out a cluster that works just to get English.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated

here is the steps on nichols site:
Here's the procedure for changing the language on the dash computer display for MY 1990.
It consists of:
1) Turn on ignition
2) Plug contact bridge 9293 in 19 pin diagnosis socket (not sure where that is)
3) Pull operating lever 3 seconds.
The display language will cycle from English, German, French then Italian.

In the first versions of the clusters is not possible the language change (soft K21).
You need to do a wire bridge between pin 5 and pin 13 AFTER ignition is on. (The same that 9293 tool), and pull the computer lever for 3 secs
Regards

So which pin is pin 5 and pin 13? There is absolutely on markings on the diagnostic plug. I've checked the WSM, old posts on all the common sites, and just about every manual I could find. I have a Canadian '89 S4 with German readouts on the digital display. This is something I've wanted to fix for three years with no success. I need a drawing or diagram that shows exactly which pin is which. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first....Sorry for my english....
In my '89, the pin numbers are hard written in the diagnose female connector (connector of the car). I will try look for a pin scheme.
