Default Spare Tire Interchange

Hello everyone. I'm a newbie here. My 1986.5 928 came without a spare tire. I was wondering what other Porsche models compact/inflatable spare tires would fit the 928? I see a lot of 944 spares available. Are bolt patterns and offsets compatible? Thanks...........Mike

I think I still have a spare tire from my 86.5 somewhere. Can check when I return home. Never been used.
PM me if you would like it. Can send a picture when I get back.

Cheers!
Carl

I've got a spare spare too.

$30 plus the actual cost of shipping. I'm in Point Pleasant, NJ: 08742. Where are you located?

The 86.5 has S-4 brakes and therefore needs the larger diameter spare rim , early one will not work !

Mike Frye:

I assume the spare you have holds air and is not dry rotted. My zip code: Centerburg, OH 43011

You assume correctly, however, it apparently won't work in your car. However, I assume from JBs post that any S4 spare should work. That may open up your search options a bit.
