82US stalls with vapor lock type symptom HELP needed

I did loosen the fuel cap when mine died - no whoosh of air and still didn't start - so maybe it was not a clogged or pinched vent line. And my fuel gage was and is working fine. If it takes a while for the tank to return to shape, I don't think that a collapsed fuel tank was my problem since I was able to get a complete fill-up the next day.

For now, I will keep tank full, get extra FI relay, wrap any fuel lines close to exhaust, try not to tour in very hot weather and hope.... If the problem returns, I will give the list of other suggestions to my mechanic. Thanks to all for the help.
