Default Wheels/tires and offsets

I am sure this subject has been covered many times but as things change, everything changes and so do we

In the opinion of many.... what is the best tire/wheel combination
for an EARLY 928's.
I have seen some gonzo combinations and "pimp my ride" combo's. But as a daily driver what are the current thoughts of the group? Pictures are always appreciated.

Everyone is different and has their own idea of "best." Style? Fitment? Tire options? Cost?

If I had a few thousand bucks I be running Fikse wheels. 8.5" x 18" with 67mm offset in front and 10" x 18" at 60mm offset in the rear.

I think that from an appearance and fit standpoint, this might be just the right wheels for an early 928. The tires should be either 235x40 or 245x40 front and 275x35 rear. Find the wheels that you like the best in these sizes and the best tires you can afford and you will have it!
