Probably the first time I've ever bothered watching 60 minutes... when I heard they were discussing Top Gear I even forced my kids to watch it.

Thanks, my DVR crapped out half way through that segment due to the football game running over. I've seen a few Jerry Clarkson clips on Youtube... why don't they broadcast that show over here? I'm betting it would be a hit!

I get it on BBC America (SD) and now in HD (Forget what channel). I am using DirecTV.

I like when he said, "there is a cult following here in the US". I guess I am one of the members. :-)

Why do I keep seeing Viagra commercial's when I watch this clip????? Weird....do they think a bunch of older guys watch this show?

Yes... most of the potential viewers in my age bracket [late 20's] are watching models in bikinis doing wheelies on crotch rockets...

...being that I'm far from "normal", I prefer Top Gear

Normally I come to this site to learn about things like, 928 relays, replacing timing belts, installing a super charger or maybe even a lesson in physics... never thought I learn how to watch TV on the internet. That was like YouTube on steroids! Sure the content was cool, but the video delivery was even more impressive. Now I see what they mean that TV and Internet will become one in the same. It wasn’t that long ago a choppy 2 by 2 inch fuzzy box is all you got.

Do yourself a favor and start watching, its a great show regardless of wether they are covering Top Gear or not.

Does he really? I had heard he has an affection for the GTS but I had no idea he actually did own let alone currently owns one? Where did you hear this?

The interview with the producer was interesting as he was trying to explain what the basis of the show is, that being the inside of a mans head which frankly is completely empty. I thought that was an interesting perspective. I also was surprised to hear that the gang of 3 dont actually like each other much. I know their characters can goof on one another but I had thought that their was a real friendship between presenters, but the producer made it out like they really dont actually like one another off camera. That was my take, but perhaps thats not true.

Pretty sure that was more of their wacky British humour.

There is a rumor out there that the rights have been purchased to create an American version starting this year.

Top Gear is on the tube every night here in Canada. The kids love watching just before bedtime.
