Default Bent body trim between door and windshield

Any ideas on how one would repair this without damaging it?

Thanks in advance.

The trim is just kind of wedged on, it has some little clips that hold it in place, a good tap with a plastic buffer will push it back on, if the clips are good and the trim is not bent it should stay in place, same with the end part.

Be careful with it, the trim is NLA which forces you to get the GTS parts $$.

If you are talking about the windshield trim at the A pillar.

I guess I should be more specific - or maybe not say trim. I'm not really sure what it is called.

It is the 1" wide body piece between the door and windshield (that the black trim attaches to) is bent inwards towards the windshield. It runs up and over the roof and the door.
You can see that it is out of alignment from the body.

the rain gutter trim is aluminum and is held inplace with either glue or strip caulk and a press fit.
its anchored at the rear with a screw under the hatch lid .
If your not happy with the alignment then remove the rear trim screw and the end plug then work the trim off from rear to front ,
you might use a heatgun as it will assist in loosening the glue.
be careful as you can bend it,
a helper to hold the rear as it comes off is a good thing,
once its off then the underlying metal can be tapped back into position,
then fresh strip caulk is used to press the trim back into place,
start at the front and work to the back ,
this will prevent the trim from hitting the fender.

So that's what it's called - the rain gutter trim!
I'll give it a try.

Thanks Mr Merlin.

I did not know which problem you were talking about, sorry.

I should have been a little more descriptive of my problem.
Thanks for helping Greg.
