I'll have to be first to say that will buff right out.

In reality, it doesn't look that bad. I've seen lesser 928 wrecked worse that were repaired.

No way. I can't repair that, I would fear structural damage (look at how the doors fit to the body for example) and the price is too high. That car should be parted. The undamaged parts look good, look at the seats for example.

12000 euro.........expensive.

102000 kms and its a '92.

Can you easily source 928 parts...........if not leave it alone.

Absolutely! Not sure how much the asking price is for but if it's close to $12000 US, that's a bit steep. That car is far from junk, someone needs to save it.

12,000 E = $16,660. And the kilometers are under 20,000 if I read it right? I'm wondering about frame damage. So when finished you would have a low mileage, 5-speed. It doesn't say what year. Did euro 1993 cars have the 1R rods? Pretty iffy, I'd say. GTS engines, even '93s, are pretty scarce.

The drivers door must open and close. The passenger door fit looks a little sprung at the top. It would be interesting to know if the roof is buckled. From the pictures it appears that most of the damage is forward of the firewall which would be a plus.

I hate to say it but unless you own a autobody repair and paint business this one will cost a small fortune to repair.

There is structural damage to the entire unibody all the way back to the roof. Is it possible to fix? Perhaps by someone like Ed Obehave with skill and equipment, but you would be far better off to pass on this car and buy a good condition well maintained GTS from someone else. You will save lots of money and be able to drive a car right away.

it is bent,
but its not a badly bent,

that said if you had the resources to do the take apart work,
it looks like it may need a hood and 2 fenders and possibly the headlight assembly plus some glass

That car if its running is worth about 4500.00 USD

Interesting ... reminds me of the discussion of that vandalized black '94 GTS in a barn in South Dakota or somewhere ... that car had (at least) broken windows and keyed paint.

Just fixing the dash and airbags/ wheel is $$$$$$.....and yes there would be a lot of "frame damage" very hard to fix. It is possible to make it LOOK O K but very hard to really fix it. The engine would have to come out (also possible that the motor mount tabs on the block are broken ) then pull the front frame rails probably cut them off and weld on a replacement front clip....firewall forward ! So you would need a complete S-4 front end.

its toast

as for value of the car, Id pay $5000 for it running or not for the parts

I hadnt heard about broken engine block mounting tabs, but if Jim mentions it then im sure he's seen it enough times, I would double check everything because if that block is useless then its not worth much.

Regardless, the asking price is pie in the sky, i have seen very nice GTS's for sub 20K euro's, This ones gonna cost a fortune to look straight, and in the end it will still be a piece of crap frankenstein car thats not worth crap when you come to resell it.

Put it out of its misery!

Hate to say it but once they are wrecked like that there is no getting it back to 100%
Sure you can make it look very nice but I would always wonder what was stressed that doesn't show itself until later down the road. Best to find a non-wrecked car.
