glad you got it out, Now for the new parts how to line up the pod so the screws will fit??
Install the right long bolt though the standoff and the spacers for the gauges, install this into the pod ( no gauges yet) then snug the long bolt.

put the other 2 spacers on the other side long bolt and screw into the left side of the pod,
fit the pod and make sure the left side slides into its slot on the support,
then reach your hand through the pod to align the standoff,
fit the short bolt.
Once things seem to be lined up carefully remove the short bolt then slide out the left side,
then tighten the standoff in position dont make it so tight that it cant swivel some,
as it may have to move a bit when the gauges are fitted.
THEN,
Put the gauges on the column fit the connectors ,
then slide the gauges onto the right set of spacers,
then slide the gauges into the pod,
then the left side will slide in,
Note be careful you may have the top left spacer fall out as it slides into the pod

if you can do some welding, one option is to weld another bolt into the allen head. If you protect the dash, and make sure electronics are disconnected you're ok. It takes only two small weld points to link the new bolt, and the heat helps break loose the original bolt.

One other option is vise grips. But not these small ones, I use one like this:

^^^Nice tool.

Did the parts arrive?

I was a afraid they might break out of the bubble envelope.

I've never done any welding before. It does sounds like an easy solution, but only if you know what you are doing. Slotting the bolt was fairly easy too btw - I bought flex shaft and used one of the small cutting disks that came with the my Dremel set. I was done with it within 10-15min.

Vise grips - I've tried using them, but with no luck. There is limited space there, I could only use small grips and was not able to get the bolt going. As I said, I ended up slotting the bolt, putting the screwdriver in, attaching vise grips to the screwdriver and only then bolt broke loose.

Chris - thanks a lot for the bolts. They came in fine and I used one of them to replace the one I slotted. Thanks a lot for your generous offer too - I was not able to find the replacement locally and it looks like Porsche is no longer making these bolts (Roger could not find them for me).

Thanks a lot for the support guys!

P.S. I have an extra elbow and 6mm x 100mm bolt that goes through it. If anyone here needs these, please drop me a line. Chris sent them to me for free, so it's only fair to pass remaining items to others.
