Default New 928int radiator..too tall?

I installed the new 928int radiator in the 88S4 auto, and its sweet.

Zero issues..so far. Missed the 'stack crush washers three deep' issue, until my final inspection and hmm..just didnt look right. Quick call so 928int, prob understood and solved.

But...

My hood doesnt close all the way easily, and to open it, required someone to press down on the latch area, then open it.

The rubber trim/gasket on the top of the fan shroud assembly is contacting the hood REALLY hard, and yes, you can see the side of the hood ever so slightly bowed upwards from that pressure.

The two screws that locate the shroud are where they should be..after re-using the speed nuts from the OEM radiator. The shroud is fully up against the radiator as well.

I cant see that the radiator isnt fully sitting on the lower mounts..but..could it not be?

Is there an "Oh ya..." tip that I missed?

open your hood till you fix the problem .
Either the rubber bumpers on the bottom of the radiator are not positioned correctly or they need to be removed and trimmed to fit
