Tonight I installed a Pklamp so I wouldn't feel the need to release flexplate tension every few months. (measured 0.16mm tonight @ 94K, same as at 73K in 2008).

There was a rattle. The black inspection plug was the culprit. Its hard plastic ( or has become hardened ) and it was loud. Sorry about the cobbled-up temp fix, but its quiet now.

I just bought one from Roger has my car was missing one. It is indeed a pliable rubber when new.
