Default NJ Owners - anyone know this car?

My search continues... I spoke with the owner on the phone - sounds pretty good, documentation, recent TB/WB R&R, cooling flushed. He said he replaced the clutch slave cyl and then had problems with it popping out of gear on accelleration... ?? Coincidence with worn out shifter linkage cup or other? He also said he recently replaced the back tires - maybe he beat the crap out of it?

Anyone know this car or can go take a looky-loo for me? Thanks!

Why do you sell-off the others?

Old story - different needs, different times... I'm not rich, so first blau 85 sold to buy a (newer) tow vehicle for my 5th wheel... 82 was a project that never materialized... silver 85 was promising, but had to let it go to get my teenager something to drive so I could stop playing taxi driver... Now I have some play money again and want another one...

have you seen this thread:

Almost the same price range and its a later car. I know, to each his own, but I do like the more "modern" look of the later cars.

Good luck either way!

It is priced cheap so there must be something up. I would expect a tranny rebuild, popping out of gear can happen from worn syncros. If that is all it needs and the interior/exterior are decent it could be a good buy if you can do some of the wrenching yourself.

I think that one has been kicking around for a while on CL, here, Pelican.

Here's a link to when it was on here back in August. Check with Fredfox, he said he was going to look at it.

If the rumors in the linked thread are true it started out as a Mason (928WW) car, not sure why it's been up for sale so many times or for so many different amounts.

I was going to look at it but Fredfox beat me to it and I was hoping to hear back.

For the right price it could be a great foundation. Just need a true estimation of what's going on there.
