Default backup lights

My backup light burned out on the left side and I replaced both lights. I cleaned both sockets and now the right one is brighter than the left. Also I get the central warning light and stop light warning when I shift into reverse. It goes off in the pod when I shift to drive.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, Joe

One possibility is a poor ground connection. This can feed current back thru the brake light circuit.

Check all your grounds Joe, there is a list here that you can do a search for, take every one of them off and clean them.
