Oil guage stopped working OB
Oil Gauge had been doing some weird stuff a few months ago. Was sticking at 3 bar and not going above or going above and not dropping down. Cleared itself up in a week or so. Today started her up and no movement on the gauge at all. Well if you shut off the engine it drops 1/16 of an inch but with engine running it stuck (seems stuck) below 0. Cars running fine, oil level is good. I got stuck in some rain the last time I had her out. Never been in rain before. Wondering if something electrical under the car got wet. What could this be? Gauge or sender, right? Where is the sender located? Somewhere near oil filter, I believe? Anyone got a picture to help me know where to look around? What are the best case/worst case scenarios here? I am not a wrench but can do some basic stuff.

You may have a loose wire or broken wire down there. You have one wire on the front of the oil pan and two right next to the oil filter. I would check the two next to the oil filter first and examine.

Good suggestion. If you have any sort of oil leak (or a messy filter change?) there can be an accumulation of oil/dirt in the rubber boots on the wire connections.
