I have Icons on my GTS and F250, they work great, but on my wife's Honda Odyssey, they suck, so I agree they can be hit or miss.
I have the center-rib Icon on my rear glass.

Been running the Bosch Icons up front (no wiper in the rear) and they are just fine. Been using them two years. Will buy again.
