Default deer collision

No it wasn't my 928 but wanted to post a damage report to a far bigger vehicle.

Driving my 3/4 ton chev 4x4 diesel truck just before daylight this morning a deer hit me. Wrecked the bumper, fender, grill, all lights and other assorted plastic pieces. My truck weighs 9000lbs so thankfully no damage to me and I was able to drive away although its in the shop now.

928 content: this is on a very rural road where the car would be in its sweet spot speed wise..............imagine the damage.

Please be careful out there

BTW.............fresh venison anyone?

thx Ole

I should hopefully have a choice of Elk, mule deer or white tail deer sausage.

Duck and geese are for other choice pieces.

glad to here you were in the truck, you could have had some personal injurys in anything smaller. Go get a lotto ticket, a beer and a cigar, sit back and relax. Could have been different....the deer could have waited!

I got very close to this. Swear my car was going to do an endo I stopped so fast. On the bright side, I found a bunch of change that was under my seats.

thx guys...........its only after such an event one counts how fortunate we are and I'd hate to think of other brutal events when all we're doing is driving to work.

No worries.............I'm having a beer

Glad to hear you're OK and it wasn't the 928. Look on the bright side - at least it wasn't a moose...

A deer hit you? What was it driving? Where do those damn deer get their licenses?

Seriously though, glad to hear you're ok. Sucks about the truck damage though.

Glad you are unhurt. Are you the only person in Alberta who owns a pick-um-truck without a deer guard on it? And don't tell us you don't have rifle racks either. The only way that happens is when you drive it new off the lot.
