Default Gorgeous Craigslist find

This was the first 928 I looked at.

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/1968429339.html

What doesn't show well in the pics are the following interesting features :

The top of the roof is half covered in black vinyl, and half in cracked white leather. Yes, the top - not the inside.
The seats have been re-trimmed white, with gold piping
The door inserts, transmission tunnel, and B pillar trims have been redone in gold vinyl
The engine sounds like it has been filled with nails

I ran, rather than walked, away

You actually spent time to look at this POS. Or did just drive by the lot?

somebody needs to explain to the owner the difference between "invested" and "spent". One should not be confused with the other, and to get confused about that point can result in some serious degree of disillusionment.

Yes, I went to look at it. But it's only a mile from my house so not too much effort wasted. Plus it had the effect of really making me appreciate the one I ended up buying

Definitely worth buying. It isn't too often that you find a 928 with that all too rare "Landau Brougham" package.

I, too, stopped to look at it. Just because it was so unbelievable, I had to see it with my own eyes!

It was done in such poor taste and quality, it would be best as a parts car.
