Default Oil level sensor

why does my oil level sensor keep going off. that's twice in three days and both times my oil level has been close to the full notch. checked the wiring at the sensor and its ok, seems like all the wiring is ok. any experience with this issue

It can be removed with the pan on the engine, but you will need to drain some oil first. I removed mine without draining any oil and it just flowed all over the floor. What a mess. it's a simple float on an arm that activates the switch. Your float or arm could be binding.

This will be no consolation, but mine is over-sensitive too. Park it on a slope or engage the "force" and the WARNING lights up. If it's a slider, could it need oil? Next time I change oil . . . I'll probably create a bigger problem . . . no, I think I'll leave it alone. Well, it will depend on how I feel at the moment.
