Ramon,

My favorite powder coater has a minimum charge of $75. They just last week finshed a job for me that included 45 parts, all of them pretty small parts..small being 12" or less in length, (they make up handbrakes for replica 550 Spyders, each consisting of 5 parts) and the total bill was under $200. And they media blasted and degreased the parts before PC. I have no idea what they might charge for 928 engine parts but they did quote me $74 each for doing a set of phone dial rims. Don't know if that helps answer your question or not. By the way the PC company is less than 10 miles from your place and they did my last job in less than 3 weeks.....and the owner did comment he was doing a set of 32v 928 parts for someone local and he was doing the water pump as part of that job...I don't like the sound of that, but what do I know?

Hmm. I got my bikes, single speed and tandem done for $25 and $75 respectively. Not car parts but pretty detailed work with all the little nooks and crannies.

Get the powder coating gun from Harbor Freight for $60 -$70 and do your own powder coating. Powder is available from Pendery Powder Coating and many others in every color imaginable including chrome for $5-$20 per pound. Initially, I baked the parts in my kitchen oven. This worked just fine but there were some unpleasant fumes. I thought about getting an old oven that someone was throwing away to use instead. Eventually I found an industrial oven from a ***** factory on e-bay for $50.

Neil, you Do know that off-gas from the powder is toxic, don't you? powdercoating in your HOUSE oven is a very bad idea.

Yeah, As I said I have discontinued using the kitchen oven. Although, the fumes were removed quite efficiently by the exhaust hood. I've done worse over the years.
