Sorry, car is 83, 4.7, 16v row. LHD model.

We have a new battery, and the connections at that end are good. looks like alt problem.
Will report back soon.

This forum is especially cool, as I put my questions on at night before I go to bed, and just like today, wake up in the morning (8am as I write this) and here's your answers. Ask me to build an engine or gearbox, fabricate something up, and I'm sweet, but electrics are complete mystery to me.

You could hang an 88 105A camaro alternator on it in a pinch if necessary.
