I have seen two variants so far.

One seems to be only the shorter stick in place of the existing stick and using the existing mount points.

The other is Roger's and uses a bolt in mount.

Opinions on which is the better solution, advantages/disadvantages?

I don't even have my 79 drivable yet (battling cluth engagement issue) but have realized that the stock shifter is too long for comfort.
