Unless of course it was a 190E 2.3 16 in nice shape. Those are pretty sweet and pretty rare.

During the show the owners grandson started and reved up his BIG Yamaha Road Rocket. It was answered by one of the old school pan head Harley guys and he got applauded. Another guy got in his Ford GT and reved it up, the applause was louder. I couldn't help myself having just done the x-pipe and RMB on my GTS, I started it up and did some revs. The applause went to cheering and the other three bowed to awesome GTS exhaust note.

A new Z06 won the sports car class my GTS was in. I found later that my GTS had actually gotten the most votes, but since I was management they gave the trophy to the Vette.

Now the car show they have each year they call American Muscle Car Show so I don't take my GTS.

The company I work for makes oil field equipment and controls and uses show cars and bikes in their oil show booth to try to bring more people into the booth. It works pretty well. They have the following company show cars.

48 Ford F1 Pickup with 351 Cobrajet.
68 Chrysler 300 convertible
67 Nova SS
2010 Shelby Super Snake convertible
2010 Tesla Roadster Sport (we have a new electrically operated pump)

Not sure what the bikes are since I am not a bike guy, but I do know there is a 48 Harley they put in the back of the 48 pickup. The company was founded in 1948.

I think GTS with RMB and Xpipe would make a cool ringtone.

My friend had one of these (87, I think), but some a**holes stole it and wrecked it on their joyride . Cosworth heads, etc.. Thing stuck to the road and the way the shocks (Bilstein, I believe) rebounded and stuck where they should was great (you can see that just by watching one of these drive in front of you). Nice gearbox. I didn't like driving it that much, though, I felt too high off the ground.

Having owned an 84 190E with a 5spd (heavily modified suspension) and knowing a few friends that owned the 16 valve versions I can't agree. It isn't in the same league as the 928. An AMG Hammer is another story, especially if it had an MT. I had a 500E before buying the S4 and I would consider it the equivalent to the GTS with an Automatic although the 928 is slightly better balanced in the corners.
