Default GTS Rear Bumper Cover on a S4 Yes or No?

As many of you are aware, I have a significant project underway with my 91 Turquoise Metallic S4 (Full repaint with GTS rear quarter panels, Greg Brown Stroker and Paul Champagne interior).

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...-part-2-a.html

My present dilemma is whether to also graft on a GTS rear bumper cover to go with the GTS hips that have already been grafted on. As I also have the GTS side mirrors and painted rear wing does it make sense to go all the way to a GTS clone-ish (the word is clone not clown) appearance?

I like the GTS bumper cover more than the S4/GT. As the S4/GT rear cover is NLA and you can still get the GTS cover I wonder if I should go with the GTS cover and save the S4/GT cover for a time I may need one for my other 90 S4.

Your vote and comments are appreciated.

Dan-if you like the GTS rear-go for it. Simple answer.

I prefer the S4/GT rear but that's probably because of all the GTS type kits I used to see in Car & Driver, Motor Trend & Road & Track...

I have a GTS cover I'm waiting to put on when I get my repaint too. Go for it, you already have the hips, you may as well have the ***!

Oh, I forgot to ask, is there anything different between the covers in terms of mounting or lights/wiring?

Put me in the camp that's never liked the reflector strip of the GTS. It's right up there with side mouldings, IMO.

I prefer the subtlety of the S4 cover with GTS quarters. Never been a big fan of the red reflector strip.

Search for pics of Greg Nettles' car (Blown87) - he's got GTS quarters with S4 bumper still.

What was your inital logic? Just go for it. Color is wonderful.

In the end you should do what tickles your ivories. But my vote would be an S4 rear cover. Not a fan of the (perenially bowed) GTS reflector strip.

Logic? What is that? There has been no logic to anything I have done relative to a P-car, especially 928's

I need to find some pics of Greg's (blown87) car to see the effect.

I've seen a few GTS's with the reflector strip bowed a bit. Is it easy to repair?

Lots of threads on it , haven't gotten around to actually fixing mine. Apparently it requires toilet hardware.

Here ya go, I have to say if I repaint it again (it may happen sooner than I want) I will fill in the part that says Porsche and remove the hood emblem and possibly the door handles and the sunroof.

It also needs wider tires on the back for a better look.

I would get rid of the headlamps if I could see at night with the driving lamps, but that is not going to happen, clean and discrete is good in my book.

(Hello, Georgia State Patrol, how can I help you? "this guy just went by me going very fast, he is going to kill some one" GSP? What kind of car is it? "Black and fast"')

Wow! very similar to the color of my car. I wonder if it is the same. Looks a bit more blue but could just be the lighting.
