Default 928 diecast scale model of V-8 engine

Without a doubt, I think that the 928 engine (pre-32 valve) has to be one of the sexiest looking engines out there. The cast intake tubes with flowing lines, the lettered valve covers, the headers and even the porsche crest on top of the engine.

Today, I came across this company called 'True Scale Miniatures' that manufactures various scale auto models as well as a resin engine model of the turbocharged 935 air cooled motor. It's truly stunning, mounted on a stand and inexpensive at approx. $45 EUR. I've included a photo as well a link to their website. http://www.truescalemini.com/accessory_04.php

I agree that we've all come across the odd Revell 'Hemi' or 'Rat' motors but a 928 version would be truly different.

How possible would it be to have them make a resin model of the 928 engine? We have enough diecast versions of the car itself but how about a model of the engine and maybe the torque tube and transmission/differential?

If the idea of a 928 watch was plausible, maybe this has merit as well? Does anyone agree or do I have to stop drinking city water again?

For $45.00 I'd love to have a 16v and a 32v 928 engine.

I like it! Like Sean said, also need a 5.0/5,4L engine as well. I already have a Porchev engine display

Agreed. I love to watch peoples faces when I open the hood! I brushed some clearcoat on the exposed runner areas, seems to almost magnify them and make them "pop"

I don't collect models, but I would love a 16v 928 engine model.

Good point guys. Once the molds for a 16V version are in production, how much more work would be required to make a 32V version?

Visible changes would be:
- 32V heads
- Intake system (probably modelled after the 87+)
- Ignition system (dual distributors vs single)
- Alternate display stand with 32V lettering

This would go nicely with my 928 models.
