Default Porsche Invades Stowes British Invasion

A group of us from the Green Mtns and Canada PCA were invited to Raid the British Invasion that was celebrating their 20th Invasion here in Stowe Vt.... About 30 or so showed up to make the run into Stowe for the show....The British cars there were about 800. It was great fun and the hospitality from Chris Francis the organizer and owner of Ye Olde English Inn was great...They gave us front row display space for the day up front by the awards paddock. I shot hundreds of pics and wanted to put a couple up...The shot of the 80 EURO 928 with the splitter is one of our rennlist member Paul Mammarello...Paul my apologies if I misspelled your name....If you have never been to Stowe Vt its a great place to visit and the roads up here in the Mtns are a blast to drive....if you visit this area...be sure to swing by The English in for a Pint or a glass of great Scotch..Chris is a car nut like us all....Hope you enjoy the pics...My car is the 86 928S "MTNSHRK"

Great shots, that looks like a lot of fun. In the 1st shot that 30 year old 928 looks to be the most modern car there.

Has there been a thread on that splitter? Looks good.

Thanks... Yes I believe Paul had thread on here....We were talking today about him starting the production on it soon and if I was going to put in my order....it is a solid peice of work...no soft mounting points so it doesn't flex. But I'm sure Paul can explain it better than I can......I think his ID here is VT928, yes I'm sure that is it....

They're 17x9.5 ET60 - "Sekta" made by RoH.

I've got a set that includes a pair of 17x8 ET50 fronts (VT928's got the rears on all four corners). They look similar to some of the early 924 wheels - almost factory-like.

I will try to make it next year, I get to the show in August every year with the wife's model A. Stowe is great; I wish Porschefest was up there instead of Brookline at Larz Anderson.

The splitter on the little red car is one that we are working on setting up the first porduction run for. It is made of .125 aluminum as are the mounting brackets. Tt will be sold complete with all hardware and should not take more than acouple of hours to mount, including beer breaks. Cost is not finalized yet sill working on reducing the set up time and materials cost. Sould have final pricing soon. One of the nice things about the splitter it that it prevents the factory S spoiler fron cracking at the corner.

Thanks Bob for posting the photo, I had no idea that anyone was taking any
